We started off the New Year with BRAUD’s 2nd Sourdough Workshop, held this time at our retail space. We got messy, had a lot of laughs, got creative & brought home great bread. Led by the man behind BRAUD, Yoel Wijaya - covering everything from types of flours and equipment, to mixing techniques & baking tips for home bakers.
Guests got hands on, asked questions, got curious - but most importantly, had fun!

The first of many collaborations, with one main purpose, to highlight local talent & local produce. We invited our good friend Ryan from Empak Locale to collaborate with us for our first Sundown Sando event, bringing along his love of seafood.
The day featured 2 event exclusive sandos, each developed respectively by Chef Sangga (Head Chef at BRAUD Cafe) & Chef Ryan (Empak Locale) where guests voted for their favourite. Along with a tattoo pop up by our friends from Tatu Tatu Ink Club & Kura Kura Beer. The afternoon was spent with good food, good beer & good friends while we highlighted local talent and produce.

Braud Workshop /
The Sourdough Class
Saturday, 16th June 2018 at Kolektiv Creative Coffee House
“Its the hands, it’s the heart, it’s the passion”
BRAUD’s first sourdough workshop was in collaboration with Learn with Locals, a creative workshop & retreat based collective. The class wasn’t just about being taught how to make bread, it was a place to share knowledge, experiences all the while building a community of bread lovers. Guests were introduced to the science & nitty gritty behind bread, from flour and shaping techniques, to the vitality of temperature and bread’s most essential ingredient - time.
“People came as strangers but went home as friends” - Ulla, Learn with Locals
Stay tuned for future BRAUD sourdough workshops!
